Active Probe Sonic® 4000

The Sonic® 4000 active probe delivers industry-leading performance for high-speed in-circuit measurements. With a bandwidth of over 4 GHz, ±8V dynamic range, and high input impedance of 2 MΩ || 0.6 pF, it is ideal for probing sensitive circuits without overloading them.

Its unique high-impedance tip reference connection (1 MΩ to ground) allows safe testing of energized circuits, preventing short circuits when accidentally touching non-grounded points — a key improvement over traditional single-ended probes.

The Sonic® 4000 uses a custom PMK high-speed FET amplifier with active cladding wave compensation, delivering low noise, low distortion, and accurate signal fidelity across a broad frequency range. The ±12V input offset further extends its measurement capabilities.

The compact probe weighs only 107 g and includes a 1.3 m cable, BNC output connector, and accessories for flexible setups. It is compatible with any oscilloscope featuring a 50Ω input impedance.

Designed and manufactured in Germany, the Sonic® 4000 comes with a 2-year warranty and is ESD protected. Power is supplied via original PMK USB or LAN-controlled units, or via the AP-01 battery pack for >8 hours of isolated portable use.
